Every now and then a client comes along with a unique problem that requires some creative thinking and custom solutions from A & G Fencing. This was the case with a dairy farm that local company Kloot Construction was working on.

While Kloot Construction was able to build innovative and state-of-the-art barns for this dairy farmer, they came to us for assistance with a custom built gate that would provide accessibility and safety.

What was the problem?

The farmer wanted to install a permanent agitator, a machine that stirs up the manure to make it a constant consistency. He also needed to access the unit from both sides for maintenance purposes and have the option to remove the permanent agitator for replacement.

It was important to keep safety in mind when working on this project as the farmer has both children and animals to worry about.

How did A & G Fencing fix the problem?

To make this area safe, but still accessible, A & G Fencing custom welded a gate to fit around the agitator. This allows the agitator to be as closed in as possible, but remain easily accessible to the farmer. This custom solution will allow the dairy farmer to increase his productivity and decrease the risk of accidents.
